Design Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABB CBCBB DEDEE ABABAB

Said Seeker of the skies to meA
Behold yon starry host ashineB
When Heaven's harmony you seeA
How can you doubt control divineB
Law order and designB
-
Nay Sire said I I do not doubtC
The spheres in cosmic pattern spinB
But what I try to puzzle outC
Is that if Law and Order winB
Where does mere man come inB
-
If to the millionth of a hairD
Cause and Effect are welded trueE
Then there's no leeway anywhereD
And all we do we have to doE
And sun and atom tooE
-
O Stars sing in your harmonyA
O Constellations raptly shineB
Flout me because I am not freeA
Mock me because no choice is mineB
O Beauty it so hurts to seeA
O damnable DesignB
