Death And Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDE FGHGIGIG JKJKLGLG

'Twas in the grave yard's gruesome gloomA
That May and I were matedB
We sneaked inside and on a tombA
Our love was consummatedC
It's quite all right no doubt we'll wedD
Our sin will go unchiddenE
Ah sweeter than the nuptial bedD
Are ecstasies forbiddenE
-
And as I held my sweetheart closeF
And she was softly sighingG
I could not help but think of thoseH
In peace below us lyingG
Poor folks No disrespect we meantI
And beg you'll be forgivingG
We hopes the dead will not resentI
The rapture of the livingG
-
And when in death I too shall lieJ
And lost to those who love meK
I wish two sweethearts roving byJ
Will plight their troth above meK
Oh do not think that I will grieveL
To hear the vows they're voicingG
And if their love new life conceiveL
'Tis I will be rejoicingG
