Canine Conversation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCBB DDEFGGAA CCHHBBAA

If dogs could speak O MademoiselleA
What funny stories they could tellA
For instance take your little pekeB
How awkward if the dear could speakB
How sad for you and all of usC
Who round you flutter flirt and fussC
Folks think you modest mild and meekB
But would they if Fi Fi could speakB
-
If dogs could tell Ah Madame RoseD
What secrets could they not discloseD
If your pet poodle AngelineE
Could hint at half of what she's seenF
Your reputation would I fearG
As absolutely disappearG
As would a snowball dropped in hellA
If Angeline could only tellA
-
If dogs could speak how dangerousC
It would be for a lot of usC
At what they see and what they hearH
They wink an eye and wag an earH
How fortunate for old and youngB
The darlings have a silent tongueB
We love them but it's just as wellA
For all of us that dogs can't tellA
