Breakfast Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGDGD CDCDHDHD

Of all the meals that glad my dayA
My morning one's the bestB
Purveyed me on a silver trayA
Immaculately dressedB
I rouse me when the dawn is brightC
I leap into the seaD
Returning with a rare delightC
To honey toast and teaD
-
My appetite was razor edgedE
When I was in my primeF
To eggs and bacon I was pledgedE
Ala the March of TimeF
For now a genial old gentG
With journal on my kneeD
I sip and take with vast contentG
My honey toast and teaD
-
So set me up for my delightC
The harvest of the beeD
Brown crispy toast with butter brightC
Ceylon two cups or threeD
Let others lunch or dinner praiseH
But I regale with gleeD
As I regard with grateful gazeH
Just honey toast and teaD
