Aspiration Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD BEBEWhen I was daft as urchins are | A |
And full if fairy lore | B |
I aimed an arrow at a star | A |
And hit the barnyard door | B |
- | |
I've shot at heaps of stars since then | C |
but always it's the same | D |
A barnyard door has mocked me when | C |
Uranus was my aim | D |
- | |
So I'll shoot starward as of yore | B |
Though wide my arrows fall | E |
I'd rather hit a big barn door | B |
Then never aim at all | E |
