| And full if fairy lore | B |
| I aimed an arrow at a star | A |
| And hit the barnyard door | B |

| I've shot at heaps of stars since then | C |
| but always it's the same | D |
| A barnyard door has mocked me when | C |
| Uranus was my aim | D |

| So I'll shoot starward as of yore | B |
| Though wide my arrows fall | E |
| I'd rather hit a big barn door | B |
| Then never aim at all | E |
