An Olive Fire Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCAA CCDDEEAAA FFGGHHIII

An olive fire's a lovely thingA
Somehow it makes me think of SpringA
As in my grate it over spillsB
With dancing flames like daffodilsB
They flirt and frolic twist and twineC
The brassy fire irons wink and shineC
Leap gold you flamelets Laugh and singA
An olive fire's a lovely thingA
-
An olive fire's a household shrineC
A crusty loaf a jug of wineC
An apple and a chunk of cheeseD
Oh I could be content with theseD
But if my curse of oil is thereE
To fry a fresh caught fish I swearE
I do not envy any kingA
As sitting by my hearth I singA
An olive fire's a lovely thingA
-
When old and worn of life I tireF
I'll sit before an olive fireF
And watch the feather ash like snowG
As softly as a rose heart glowG
The tawny roots will loose their hoardH
Of sunbeams centuries have storedH
And flames like yellow chicken's cheepI
Till in my heart Peace is so deepI
With hands prayer clasped I sleep and sleepI
