Ambition Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EDEDFGFG

They brought the mighty chief to townA
They showed him strange unwonted sightsB
Yet as he wandered up and downA
He seemed to scorn their vain delightsB
His face was grim his eye lacked fireC
As one who mourns a glory deadD
And when they sought his heart's desireC
Me like'um tooth same gold he saidD
-
A dental place they quickly foundE
He neither moaned nor moved his headD
They pulled his teeth so white and soundE
They put in teeth of gold insteadD
Oh never saw I man so gayF
His very being seemed to swellG
Ha ha he cried Now Injun sayF
Me heap big chief me look like hellG
