Young Night-thought Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH

All night long and every nightA
When my mama puts out the lightA
I see the people marching byB
As plain as day before my eyeB
-
Armies and emperor and kingsC
All carrying different kinds of thingsC
And marching in so grand a wayD
You never saw the like by dayD
-
So fine a show was never seenE
At the great circus on the greenE
For every kind of beast and manF
Is marching in that caravanF
-
As first they move a little slowG
But still the faster on they goG
And still beside me close I keepH
Until we reach the town of SleepH
