The Relic Taken, What Avails The Shrine? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCAA DEFF GGFF

THE relic taken what avails the shrineA
The locket pictureless O heart of mineA
Art thou not worse than thatB
Still warm a vacant nest where love once satB
-
Her image nestled closer at my heartC
Than cherished memories healed every smartC
And warmed it more than wineA
Or the full summer sun in noon day shineA
-
This was the little weather gleam that litD
The cloudy promontories the real charm wasE
That gilded hills and woodsF
And walked beside me thro' the solitudesF
-
The sun is set My heart is widowed nowG
Of that companion thought Alone I ploughG
The seas of life and traceF
A separate furrow far from her and graceF
