The Land Of Counterpane Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH

When I was sick and lay a bedA
I had two pillows at my headA
And all my toys beside me layB
To keep me happy all the dayB
-
And sometimes for an hour or soC
I watched my leaden soldiers goC
With different uniforms and drillsD
Among the bed clothes through the hillsD
-
And sometimes sent my ships in fleetsE
All up and down among the sheetsE
Or brought my trees and houses outF
And planted cities all aboutF
-
I was the giant great and stillG
That sits upon the pillow hillG
And sees before him dale and plainH
The pleasant land of counterpaneH
