Tales Of Arabia Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFFG GGFH EFFF FFEI

YES friend I own these tales of ArabiaA
Smile not as smiled their flawless originalsB
Age old but yet untamed for agesC
Pass and the magic is undiminishedD
-
Thus friend the tales of the old CamaralzamanE
Ayoub the Slave of Love or the CalendarsF
Blind eyed and ill starred royal scionsF
Charm us in age as they charmed in childhoodG
-
Fair ones beyond all numerabilityG
Beam from the palace beam on humanityG
Bright eyed in truth yet soul less hourisF
Offering pleasure and only pleasureH
-
Thus they the venal Muses ArabianE
Unlike indeed the nobler divinitiesF
Greek Gods or old time honoured musesF
Easily proffer unloved caressesF
-
Lost lost the man who mindeth the minstrelsyF
Since still in sandy glittering pleasancesF
Cold stony fruits gem like but quite inE
Edible flatter and wholly starve himI
