Sonet Vi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEFDE

As in the hostel by the bridge I sateA
Nailed with indifference fondly deemed completeB
And O strange chance more sorrowful than sweetB
The counterfeit of her that was my fateA
Dressed in like vesture graceful and sedateA
Went quietly up the vacant village streetB
The still small sound of her most dainty feetB
Shook like a trumpet blast my soul's estateA
Instant revolt ran riot through my brainC
And all night long thereafter hour by hourD
The pageant of dead love before my eyesE
Went proudly and old hopes broke loose againF
From the restraint of wisely temperate powerD
With ineffectual ardour sought to riseE
