And fields of gray flowered grass	C
Where by the yellow summer moon	D
My Jenny seemed to pass	C

Lay white on fields of rippling grass	C
Where I and Jenny stood	E

I dreamed but fallen through my dream	F
In a rainy land I lie	A
Where wan wet morning crowns the hills	G
Of grim reality	H

I am as one that keeps awake	I
All night in the month of June	D
That lies awake in bed to watch	J
The trees and great white moon	D

For memories of love are more	K
Than the white moon there above	L
And dearer than quiet moonshine	M
Are the thoughts of her I love	L

Alas the moon white window panes	O
Stared blindly back on me	H

Deep sleep and perfect rest	Z
