I Do Not Fear To Own Me Kin Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DEFF BBGGHHIJKK LLMMNOOJJNN

I DO not fear to own me kinA
To the glad clods in which spring flowers beginA
Or to my brothers the great treesB
That speak with pleasant voices in the breezeB
Loud talkers with the winds that passC
Or to my sister the deep grassC
-
Of such I am of such my body isD
That thrills to reach its lips to kissE
That gives and takes with wind and sun and rainF
And feels keen pleasure to the point of painF
-
Of such are theseB
The brotherhood of stalwart treesB
The humble family of flowersG
That make a light of shadowy bowersG
Or star the edges of the bentH
They give and take sweet colour and sweet scentH
They joy to shed themselves abroadI
And tree and flower and grass and sodJ
Thrill and leap and live and singK
With silent voices in the SpringK
-
Hence I not fear to yield my breathL
Since all is still unchanged by deathL
Since in some pleasant valley I may beM
Clod beside clod or tree by treeM
Long ages hence with her I love this hourN
And feel a lively joy to shareO
With her the sun and rain and airO
To taste her quiet neighbourhoodJ
As the dumb things of field and woodJ
The clod the tree and starry flowerN
Alone of all things have the powerN
