Duddingstone Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK MDND OPDP QRDR

WITH caws and chirrupings the woodsA
In this thin sun rejoiceB
The Psalm seems but the little kirkC
That sings with its own voiceB
-
The cloud rifts share their amber lightD
With the surface of the mereE
I think the very stones are gladF
To feel each other nearE
-
Once more my whole heart leaps and swellsG
And gushes o'er with gleeH
The fingers of the sun and shadeI
Touch music stops in meH
-
Now fancy paints that bygone dayJ
When you were here my fairK
The whole lake rang with rapid skatesL
In the windless winter airK
-
You leaned to me I leaned to youM
Our course was smooth as flightD
We steered a heel touch to the leftN
A heel touch to the rightD
-
We swung our way through flying menO
Your hand lay fast in mineP
We saw the shifting crowd dispartD
The level ice reach shineP
-
I swear by yon swan travelled lakeQ
By yon calm hill aboveR
I swear had we been drowned that dayD
We had been drowned in loveR
