Dedication Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA DEFB GHIF JKLM

MY first gift and my last to youA
I dedicate this fascicle of songsB
The only wealth I haveC
Just as they are to youA
-
I speak the truth in soberness and sayD
I had rather bring a light to your clear eyesE
Had rather hear you praiseF
This bosomful of songsB
-
Than that the whole hard world with one consentG
In one continuous chorus of applauseH
Poured forth for me and mineI
The homage of ripe praiseF
-
I write the finis here against my loveJ
This is my love's last epitaph and tombK
Here the road forks and IL
Go my way far from yoursM
