| Without their use we may have men | A |
| And such as will in short time be | B |
| For murder fit or mutiny | B |
| As Cadmus once a new way found | C |
| By throwing teeth into the ground | C |
| From which poor seed and rudely sown | D |
| Sprung up a war like nation | E |
| So let us iron silver gold | F |
| Brass lead or tin throw into th' mould | F |
| And we shall see in little space | G |
| Rise up of men a fighting race | G |
| If this can be say then what need | H |
| Have we of women or their seed | H |
