Upon Time Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCB DEDEDE FGFGHG

Time was uponA
The wing to fly awayB
And I call'd onA
Him but awhile to stayB
But he'd be goneC
For aught that I could sayB
-
He held out thenD
A writing as he wentE
And ask'd me whenD
False man would be contentE
To pay againD
What God and Nature lentE
-
An hour glassF
In which were sands but fewG
As he did passF
He shew'd and told me tooG
Mine end near wasH
And so away he flewG
