Upon The Death Of His Sparrow. An Elegy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACCDDAEBFFGGHHHIIJ J

Why do not all fresh maids appearA
To work love's sampler only hereB
Where spring time smiles throughout the yearA
Are not here rosebuds pinks all flowersC
Nature begets by th' sun and showersC
Met in one hearse cloth to o'erspreadD
The body of the under deadD
Phil the late dead the late dead dearA
O may no eye distil a tearE
For you once lost who weep not hereB
Had Lesbia too too kind but knownF
This sparrow she had scorn'd her ownF
And for this dead which under liesG
Wept out her heart as well as eyesG
But endless peace sit here and keepH
My Phil the time he has to sleepH
And thousand virgins come and weepH
To make these flowery carpets showI
Fresh as their blood and ever growI
Till passengers shall spend their doomJ
Not Virgil's gnat had such a tombJ
