| Some ruffled roses nestling were | B |
| And snugging there they seem'd to lie | C |
| As in a flowery nunnery | D |
| They blush'd and look'd more fresh than flowers | E |

| And all because they were possess'd | F |
| But of the heat of Julia's breast | F |
