Upon A Fly Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEFFGGHHIJKH

A golden fly one show'd to meA
Clos'd in a box of ivoryA
Where both seem'd proud the fly to haveB
His burial in an ivory graveC
The ivory took state to holdD
A corpse as bright as burnish'd goldD
One fate had both both equal graceE
The buried and the burying placeE
Not Virgil's gnat to whom the springF
All flowers sent to's buryingF
Not Martial's bee which in a beadG
Of amber quick was buriedG
Nor that fine worm that does interH
Herself i' th' silken sepulchreH
Nor my rare Phil K that lately wasI
With lilies tomb'd up in a glassJ
More honour had than this same flyK
Dead and closed up in ivoryH
