To The Virgins, Make Much Of Time Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CBCB DEDE FGFG

Gather ye rose buds while ye mayA
Old Time is still a flyingB
And this same flower that smiles to dayA
To morrow will be dyingB
-
The glorious lamp of heaven the SunC
The higher he's a gettingB
The sooner will his race be runC
And nearer he's to settingB
-
That age is best which is the firstD
When youth and blood are warmerE
But being spent the worse and worstD
Times still succeed the formerE
-
Then be not coy but use your timeF
And while ye may go marryG
For having lost but once your primeF
You may for ever tarryG
