To The Rose: Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBB CCDDD EEFFF

Go happy Rose and interwoveA
With other flowers bind my LoveA
Tell her too she must not beB
Longer flowing longer freeB
That so oft has fetter'd meB
-
Say if she's fretful I have bandsC
Of pearl and gold to bind her handsC
Tell her if she struggle stillD
I have myrtle rods at willD
For to tame though not to killD
-
Take thou my blessing thus and goE
And tell her this but do not soE
Lest a handsome anger flyF
Like a lightning from her eyeF
And burn thee up as well as IF
