To The Painter, To Draw Him A Picture Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFGHH

Come skilful Lupo now and takeA
Thy bice thy umber pink and lakeA
And let it be thy pencil's strifeB
To paint a Bridgeman to the lifeB
Draw him as like too as you canC
An old poor lying flattering manC
His cheeks bepimpled red and blueD
His nose and lips of mulberry hueD
Then for an easy fancy placeE
A burling iron for his faceE
Next make his cheeks with breath to swellF
And for to speak if possibleG
But do not so for fear lest heH
Should by his breathing poison theeH
