Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDECCFFGHCCFFFFCC

Welcome great C sar welcome now you areA
As dearest peace after destructive warB
Welcome as slumbers or as beds of easeC
After our long and peevish sicknessesC
O pomp of glory Welcome now and comeD
To repossess once more your long'd for homeE
A thousand altars smoke a thousand thighsC
Of beeves here ready stand for sacrificeC
Enter and prosper while our eyes do waitF
For an ascendent throughly auspicateF
Under which sign we may the former stoneG
Lay of our safety's new foundationH
That done O C sar live and be to usC
Our fate our fortune and our geniusC
To whose free knees we may our temples tieF
As to a still protecting deityF
That should you stir we and our altars tooF
May great Augustus go along with youF
Chor Long live the King and to accomplish thisC
We'll from our own add far more years to hisC
