To My Dearest Sister, M. Mercy Herrick Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFFGG

Whene'er I go or whatsoe'er befallsA
Me in mine age or foreign funeralsB
This blessing I will leave thee ere I goC
Prosper thy basket and therein thy doughC
Feed on the paste of filberts or else kneadD
And bake the flour of amber for thy breadE
Balm may thy trees drop and thy springs run oilF
And everlasting harvest crown thy soilF
These I but wish for but thyself shall seeG
The blessing fall in mellow times on theeG
