To Meadows Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDF GHGH IJKL MNMN

Ye have been fresh and greenA
Ye have been fill'd with flowersB
And ye the walks have beenC
Where maids have spent their hoursB
-
You have beheld how theyD
With wicker arks did comeE
To kiss and bear awayD
The richer cowslips homeF
-
You've heard them sweetly singG
And seen them in a roundH
Each virgin like a springG
With honeysuckles crown'dH
-
But now we see none hereI
Whose silv'ry feet did treadJ
And with dishevell'd hairK
Adorn'd this smoother meadL
-
Like unthrifts having spentM
Your stock and needy grownN
You're left here to lamentM
Your poor estates aloneN
