To Keep A True Lent. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC EFFE GHHG IJJI KLLK

Is this a fast to keepA
The larder leanB
And cleanB
From fat of veals and sheepA
-
Is it to quit the dishC
Of flesh yet stillD
To fillD
The platter high with fishC
-
Is it to fast an hourE
Or ragg'd to goF
Or showF
A downcast look and sourE
-
No 'tis a fast to doleG
Thy sheaf of wheatH
And meatH
Unto the hungry soulG
-
It is to fast from strifeI
From old debateJ
And hateJ
To circumcise thy lifeI
-
To show a heart grief rentK
To starve thy sinL
Not binL
And that's to keep thy LentK
