To Daisies, Not To Shut So Soon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGHG

Shut not so soon the dull eyed nightA
Has not as yet begunB
To make a seizure on the lightA
Or to seal up the sunB
-
No marigolds yet closed areC
No shadows great appearD
Nor doth the early shepherds' starC
Shine like a spangle hereE
-
Stay but till my Julia closeF
Her life begetting eyeG
And let the whole world then disposeH
Itself to live or dieG

Robert Herrick
