The Shower Of Blossoms Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEFGGHHII

Love in a shower of blossoms cameA
Down and half drown'd me with the sameA
The blooms that fell were white and redB
But with such sweets commingledC
As whether this I cannot tellD
My sight was pleased more or my smellD
But true it was as I roll'd thereE
Without a thought of hurt or fearF
Love turn'd himself into a beeG
And with his javelin wounded meG
From which mishap this use I makeH
Where most sweets are there lies a snakeH
Kisses and favours are sweet thingsI
But those have thorns and these have stingsI
