The Christian Militant Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCCCDDEEFGHI

A man prepar'd against all ills to comeA
That dares to dead the fire of martyrdomA
That sleeps at home and sailing there at easeB
Fears not the fierce sedition of the seasB
That's counter proof against the farm's mishapsC
Undreadful too of courtly thunderclapsC
That wears one face like heaven and never showsC
A change when fortune either comes or goesC
That keeps his own strong guard in the despiteD
Of what can hurt by day or harm by nightD
That takes and re delivers every strokeE
Of chance as made up all of rock and oakE
That sighs at others' death smiles at his ownF
Most dire and horrid crucifixionG
Who for true glory suffers thus we grantH
Him to be here our Christian militantI
