The Admonition Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABABCBCDEFFGG

Seest thou those diamonds which she wearsA
In that rich carcanetB
Or those on her dishevell'd hairsA
Fair pearls in order setB
Believe young man all those were tearsA
By wretched wooers sentB
In mournful hyacinths and rueC
That figure discontentB
Which when not warmed by her viewC
By cold neglect each oneD
Congeal'd to pearl and stoneE
Which precious spoils upon herF
She wears as trophies of her honourF
Ah then consider what all this impliesG
She that will wear thy tears would wear thine eyesG
