His Sailing From Julia Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFFCCGGHH

When that day comes whose evening says I'm goneA
Unto that watery desolationB
Devoutly to thy closet gods then prayC
That my wing'd ship may meet no remoraC
Those deities which circum walk the seasD
And look upon our dreadful passagesE
Will from all dangers re deliver meF
For one drink offering poured out by theeF
Mercy and truth live with thee and forbearC
In my short absence to unsluice a tearC
But yet for love's sake let thy lips do thisG
Give my dead picture one engendering kissG
Work that to life and let me ever dwellH
In thy remembrance Julia So farewellH
