A Ring Presented To Julia Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDB EEFGGH IIJKKJ LMKKKK KKNOPN

Julia I bringA
To thee this ringA
Made for thy finger fitB
To show by thisC
That our love isD
Or should be like to itB
-
Close though it beE
The joint is freeE
So when love's yoke is onF
It must not gallG
Or fret at allG
With hard oppressionH
-
But it must playI
Still either wayI
And be too such a yokeJ
As not too wideK
To overslideK
Or be so straight to chokeJ
-
So we who bearL
This beam must rearM
Ourselves to such a heightK
As that the stayK
Of either mayK
Create the burden lightK
-
And as this roundK
Is nowhere foundK
To flaw or else to severN
So let our loveO
As endless proveP
And pure as gold for everN
