The Silken Tent Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCACAAAAADD| She is as in a field a silken tent | A |
| At midday when the sunny summer breeze | B |
| Has dried the dew and all its ropes relent | A |
| So that in guys it gently sways at ease | B |
| And its supporting central cedar pole | C |
| That is its pinnacle to heavenward | A |
| And signifies the sureness of the soul | C |
| Seems to owe naught to any single cord | A |
| But strictly held by none is loosely bound | A |
| By countless silken ties of love and thought | A |
| To everything on earth the compass round | A |
| And only by one's going slightly taut | A |
| In the capriciousness of summer air | D |
| Is of the slightest bondage made aware | D |
