The Impulse Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK MNON PADA QRDR

It was too lonely for her thereA
And too wildB
And since there were but two of themC
And no childB
-
And work was little in the houseD
She was freeE
And followed where he furrowed fieldF
Or felled treeE
-
She rested on a log and tossedG
The fresh chipsH
With a song only to herselfI
On her lipsH
-
And once she went to break a boughJ
Of black alderK
She strayed so far she scarcely heardL
When he called herK
-
And didn't answer didn't speakM
Or returnN
She stood and then she ran and hidO
In the fernN
-
He never found her though he lookedP
EverywhereA
And he asked at her mother's houseD
Was she thereA
-
Sudden and swift and light as thatQ
The ties gaveR
And he learned of finalitiesD
Besides the graveR
