The Flower Boat Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EBEB

The fisherman's swapping a yarn for a yarnA
Under the hand of the village barberB
And her in the angle of house and barnA
His deep sea dory has found a harborB
-
At anchor she rides the sunny sodC
As full to the gunnel of flowers growingD
As ever she turned her home with codC
From George's bank when winds were blowingD
-
And I judge from that elysian freightE
That all they ask is rougher weatherB
And dory and master will sail by fateE
To seek the Happy Isles togetherB
