Meeting And Passing Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCDEE

As I went down the hill along the wallA
There was a gate I had leaned at for the viewB
And had just turned from when I first saw youB
As you came up the hill We met But allA
We did that day was mingle great and smallA
Footprints in summer dust as if we drewB
The figure of our being less that twoB
But more than one as yet Your parasolA
-
Pointed the decimal off with one deep thrustC
And all the time we talked you seemed to seeD
Something down there to smile at in the dustC
Oh it was without prejudice to meD
Afterward I went past what you had passedE
Before we met and you what I had passedE
