A Prayer In Spring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABC DDEE FFGG HHGG

Oh give us pleasure in the flowers todayA
And give us not to think so far awayA
As the uncertain harvest keep us hereB
All simply in the springing of the yearC
-
Oh give us pleasure in the orchard whiteD
Like nothing else by day like ghosts by nightD
And make us happy in the happy beesE
The swarm dilating round the perfect treesE
-
And make us happy in the darting birdF
That suddenly above the bees is heardF
The meteor that thrusts in with needle billG
And off a blossom in mid air stands stillG
-
For this is love and nothing else is loveH
To which it is reserved for God aboveH
To sanctify to what far ends he willG
But which it only needs that we fulfillG
