A Late Walk Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JCKC

When I go up through the mowing fieldA
The headless aftermathB
Smooth laid like thatch with the heavy dewC
Half closes the garden pathB
-
And when I come to the garden groundD
The whir of sober birdsE
Up from the tangle of withered weedsF
Is sadder than any wordsE
-
A tree beside the wall stands bareG
But a leaf that lingered brownH
Disturbed I doubt not by my thoughtI
Comes softly rattling downH
-
I end not far from my going forthJ
By picking the faded blueC
Of the last remaining aster flowerK
To carry again to youC
