Be not afraid of facts they must be facedA
And thought must in the affairs of circumstanceB
Untangle many a knotty point decideC
Grave issues and so tend life's business thatD
She runs not into debt with hope and fearE
Doubt's brokers or emotion's merchants andF
So bankrupt's her estate that inly poorG
Not all conceit or custom's braveryH
Can long ward off the wretched hour that givesI
Her beggary like an evil odour toJ
The casual air and taints the time with herK
