| From the latest altar fire | H |
| All the hopes and invocations | A |
| Breathed by lips of heroes dead | I |
| All the genius of the nations | A |
| Who the march of Freedom led | I |
| Though your temples broke and fell as | A |
| Dusty fanes of little worth | J |
