Urned for all the years to come | D |
Ye that ruled in heavenly places | A |
And the faith of mortals won | E |
Gods created by old races | A |
Perished from beneath the sun | E |
Born of faith and with it blended | F |
Ye shall yet the world inspire | G |
Till the last breath has ascended | F |
From the latest altar fire | H |
All the hopes and invocations | A |
Breathed by lips of heroes dead | I |
All the genius of the nations | A |
Who the march of Freedom led | I |
Though your temples broke and fell as | A |
Dusty fanes of little worth | J |
These will keep you gods of Hellas | A |
Still alive upon the earth | J |
