The Old Gods. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABACADAEAEFGFHAIAI AJAJ

O ye gods if you could tell usA
What ye are if banned or blestB
Ye that reigned of old in HellasA
Ye that ruled the radiant WestB
Old born gods The Past still flashesA
In the eyes of Greece and RomeC
Ye are not mere dust and ashesA
Urned for all the years to comeD
Ye that ruled in heavenly placesA
And the faith of mortals wonE
Gods created by old racesA
Perished from beneath the sunE
Born of faith and with it blendedF
Ye shall yet the world inspireG
Till the last breath has ascendedF
From the latest altar fireH
All the hopes and invocationsA
Breathed by lips of heroes deadI
All the genius of the nationsA
Who the march of Freedom ledI
Though your temples broke and fell asA
Dusty fanes of little worthJ
These will keep you gods of HellasA
Still alive upon the earthJ
