The Hill. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGC

The holy lamps of Evening shineA
Sheer in the West the air is stillB
As I sit with this heart of mineA
At the foot of Parnassus' hillB
Through my life's day I've reached to thisC
To see where the immortals trodD
Winding up the dark height I wisC
Till they came on the light of GodD
Ah I a pilgrim with tired feetE
Have touched the verge of their renownF
As I look up on Homer's seatE
And know the bards may not come downF
Still on those peaks as powers apartG
They breathe the air now breathed by meH
For each has climbed the human heartG
The deathless hill of PoesyC
