Song #10. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFGHIJIKFLG

The dew fell on her upturned browA
That is as white's the lilyB
The moonlight in her yellow hairC
In her hand a daffodillyB
The violet's perfume in her breathD
Her cheeks like roses grewE
And as I prest her milky handF
I murmured 'I love you 'G
She looked at me with eyes that shoneH
Like stars among the rosesI
While my heart like a dream bird sangJ
Quick in the dewy closesI
And with a tone that sweetly thrill'dK
The while I held her handF
She whispered 'I have loved you longL
And now I understand 'G
