Before Time's tune possessed us before we | C |
Let fall the shadow of our meaning here | D |
Oh it would seem that in another Lethe | E |
We had been dipped as Death will dip us to | F |
Wash out the memory of ourselves as though | E |
Each stage had its own livery and we threw | F |
Off the old meaning like the garments that | G |
Worn and occasion soiled men doff when they | E |
Have to look natural in another sphere | B |
