Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEFGHII| Speak softly wake her not We all must die | A |
| This is a sleep that wraps her in secure | B |
| From Caesar's luck Yet is that veiny bosom | C |
| Warm where now love's despair wrought life's undoing | D |
| Or it may be life's parting love's renewing | D |
| So all's not over yet See you and how | E |
| She sleeps in his esteem and he in hers | F |
| Conjoined in Song's immortal monument | G |
| While Caesar triumphs on through Syria | H |
| And these two lie in Egypt so together | I |
| And through the working of a worm for ever | I |
