The Ploughman's Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCAD

As I was a wand'ring ae morning in springA
I heard a young ploughman sae sweetly to singA
And as he was singin' thir words he did sayB
There's nae life like the ploughman's in the month o' sweet MayB
-
The lav'rock in the morning she'll rise frae her nestC
And mount i' the air wi' the dew on her breastC
And wi' the merry ploughman she'll whistle and singA
And at night she'll return to her nest back againD
