The Calf Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIJI KGKG GEGE

RIGHT sir your text I'll prove it trueA
Tho' heretics may laughB
For instance there's yourself just nowC
God knows an unco calfB
-
-
And should some patron be so kindD
As bless you wi' a kirkE
I doubt na sir but then we'll findD
Ye're still as great a stirkE
-
-
But if the lover's raptur'd hourF
Shall ever be your lotG
Forbid it ev'ry heavenly PowerF
You e'er should be a stotG
-
-
Tho' when some kind connubial dearH
Your but and ben adornsI
The like has been that you may wearJ
A noble head of hornsI
-
-
And in your lug most reverend JamesK
To hear you roar and rowtG
Few men o' sense will doubt your claimsK
To rank amang the nowtG
-
-
And when ye're number'd wi' the deadG
Below a grassy hillockE
With justice they may mark your headG
Here lies a famous bullockE
