Tune The Braes o' BallochmyleA

The Catrine woods were yellow seenB
The flowers decay'd on Catrine leaA
Nae lav'rock sang on hillock greenB
But nature sicken'd on the e'eA
Thro' faded groves Maria sangC
Hersel' in beauty's bloom the whileA
And ay the wild wood echoes rangC
Fareweel the Braes o' BallochmyleA

Low in your wintry beds ye flowersD
Again ye'll nourish fresh and fairE
Ye birdies dumb in withering bowersD
Again ye'll charm the vocal airE
But here alas for me nae mairE
Shall birdie charm or floweret smileA
Fareweel the bonnie banks of AyrF
Fareweel fareweel sweet BallochmyleA
