MY heart is wae and unco waeA
To think upon the raging seaB
That roars between her gardens greenC
An' the bonie Lass of AlbanyB
-
-
This lovely maid's of royal bloodD
That ruled Albion's kingdoms threeB
But oh alas for her bonie faceE
They've wrang'd the Lass of AlbanyB
-
-
In the rolling tide of spreading ClydeF
There sits an isle of high degreeB
And a town of fame whose princely nameG
Should grace the Lass of AlbanyB
-
-
But there's a youth a witless youthH
That fills the place where she should beB
We'll send him o'er to his native shoreI
And bring our ain sweet AlbanyB
-
-
Alas the day and woe the dayJ
A false usurper wan the greeI
Who now commands the towers and landsK
The royal right of AlbanyB
-
-
We'll daily pray we'll nightly prayI
On bended knees most ferventlyB
The time may come with pipe an' drumL
We'll welcome hame fair AlbanyB
